My Chiro Story

I got into chiropractic in a very odd way.  I was an Engineering graduate of UNC-Charlotte and working as a Software Engineer when I realized I did not want to spend my life in a cubicle isolated from others.  I went to a career counselor and he asked me if I had ever considered chiropractic and I said "No way.  I want to do something respectable."  You see growing up in my hometown of Charleston, SC, chiropractors were considered quacks.  I decided to go to Medical School.  Then I decided to become a Psychologist.  Then an interesting thing happened.  I was reading some books written by Marcus Bach and I happened to read his book on Chiropractic.  By the time I finished that book I was hearing the bells and seeing the flashing lights.  This is what I was called to do.  I have loved every minute I have been in this profession since I began studying in 1975.  I was an honors graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1978.

I have been in private practice continuously since then. I came to teach at Life University in 1985 and taught there for 10 years.  I have also taught post-graduate courses for over 10 years to practicing chiropractors and have lectured all across the country.  I have been a co-investigator and contributor to several research and professional journals and book publications.  Recently I have been serving as a coach for up and coming chiropractors across the country to help them be the best they can be.

I love telling people how to express better health and perform at higher levels of performance than they ever imagined - without drugs or surgery!

I live what I teach.  The word is getting out and the wise are deciding to pursue health and stop focusing exclusively on fighting disease.  Are you interested in better health or better ability to enjoy your life?

I have 9 wonderful children and 2 grandchildren.  My wife Stefanie is a chiropractor also but is now pursuing her PhD in Computer Science so she can one day become a professor at Kennesaw State

I am really excited to be a part of this great team with Dr. Jim and Dr. Cris. Call me or email me anytime to answer your questions and find out if chiropractic could help you, too.

Dr. Cris Asks some important questions of interest to Kennesaw residents - Chiropractor Kennesaw Dr. Cris Asks...

What's the difference between sick care and health care?
Sick care is largely about relieving or suppressing symptoms. Health care is about improving performance. While sick care is about how you feel, health care is about how you function. Sick care is what you do to treat an obvious problem, and health care is what you do to avoid the problem and advance your well-being.
How do you "catch" a cold?
Simply lower your resistance by avoiding the proper rest and exercise, eating lots of sugar and junk food, putting up with emotional stress and neglecting your nervous system by avoiding your chiropractor. You won't have to catch a cold because it will catch you!
